How we are governed

Four governance pillars.

These exist by structure, not by goodwill. Each one is written into the constitution.

01Pillar

Foundation constitution

A formal charter defining our mission, ethical red lines, and governance principles. The Foundation cannot be sold or its mission altered without trustee approval.

02Pillar

Board of trustees

An independent board responsible for strategic oversight and mission protection. No single person controls the Foundation.

03Pillar

Ethics advisory council

Advisory body providing oversight on income, investments, and compliance with the Foundation's ethical principles.

04Pillar

Transparency and audit

Annual public reports, financial statements, and independent audits. Full commitment to transparency and sharing.

Board of trustees

Policies

The rules we set for ourselves.

  1. 01

    Conflict of interest

All trustees and staff declare potential conflicts. Transactions between the Foundation and subsidiaries are conducted at fair market rates.

  2. 02

    Whistleblower protection

Anyone can report concerns about the Foundation's operations without fear of retaliation.

  3. 03

    Ethical investment

The Endowment is invested according to strict ethical guidelines. No tobacco, no arms, no exploitation.
